Scientist, Polymer Chemistry
Kyle Hoff received a BS in Materials Engineering, an MS in Polymer Science and Coatings Technology, and a minor in Entrepreneurship from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. During his graduate studies, he found a passion for sustainable and earth friendly materials and led several projects on sustainable new materials ranging from biodegradable packaging to self-healing concrete, for which he filed a patent. His thesis project encompassed the synthesis of novel polyurethanes for biomedical implant applications and the accompanying accelerated testing methods to mimic long-term use in the human body. He has also had numerous engineering and science positions in industries from aerospace, to medical devices, and thermal processing.
